Hi to all users of my Android-x86 build.
Sorry for long period without updates, news or answers. I was maximum busy. I am right now in Asia for a longer time, so development becomes more difficult, because I have only the Acer1825 for building and it is not as fast as my Desktop-PC. I try to release a new build as fast as I can.
In between I answered a lot of your old non answered comments. Have a look.
Stay tuned!
Christopher

sorry i got it booted but the eeepc installed i couldnt get beta 4 installed gonna try again tho
I recently re-installed my computer using GPT. The installer and probably the installed kernel don’t seem to have this support. Could you please add both CONFIG_PARTITION_ADVANCED=y and
CONFIG_EFI_PARTITION=y options when you build the next version.
Thanks,
P.S. Once I get linux set up the way I want, I’ll have to look into getting sources so I can update my own kernel.
Ok, I will try to remeber that.
Hey Chris,
have fun in Asia 🙂
I hope you’ll have the time to my comment…fact is, I am using your beta4 image – works fine on my Acer Aspire One 722, great work! But…no wifi! I have a broadcom BCM4313 chip; the same laptop runs arch linux on a different partition and wifi works fine there; it uses the brcmsmac driver, whereas the 4.0.4 beta android image loads wl. I tried with modprobe -r wl; modprobe brcmsmac, can connect, but keeps dropping and is unusable…any suggestions? Thank you!
Hi there, have you seen this new source of Android from Intel, https://01.org/android-ia/downloads/2013/android-4.2.2r1-ia0 i know is built for UEFI, But it could help you in further development.
